great base for city strolls and park views

During my stay, I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the beautiful Jardins do Palacio de Cristal, just a bit over 3 km away, and marveled at the stunning view from the Ponte de Dom Luis I, almost 3 km from the hotel, both perfect spots for weekend walkers like me. the only downside was that the hotel could use a bit of fresh paint and updates to enhance the overall experience.

The pool area was enjoyable, while the bathroom cleanliness left much to be desired.

great stay but location took some adjusting

The staff provided exceptional service, especially Erica who was consistently attentive during our meals. The breakfast had a fantastic selection of fresh fruit and hot options, definitely setting a great tone for the day. The pool area was a peaceful oasis, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.

The hotel's location was a bit unconventional, needing some time to adapt.

Delicious breakfast buffet variety

Our experience was unfortunately marred by the pool's poor condition. it was not clean and had a greenish tint. We noted that cleaning staff were trying to attend to it, but it was too late as the pool was already in use. Additionally, the breakfast was chaotic with long queues that made it hard to enjoy our meals.

The breakfast buffet was diverse and exceptionally delicious, while Andreia at reception offered impeccable service, making our family feel welcome and catered to.

Pleasant Stay with Excellent Staff

I enjoyed my stay with my family for 2 nights. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate dietary restrictions, providing gluten-free options at meals. The room was cozy, and the housekeeping was punctual. Just a heads-up, location requires a taxi to explore Porto.

The pool area offered a refreshing escape, and the breakfast experience was outstanding, with a wide selection and attentive staff. It was a lovely surprise to find a birthday cake in the room, celebrating our child's special day. However, the dinner options were limited, with just two warm dishes available on a rainy evening, and the disposable cups during breakfast felt cheap and out of place in an otherwise nice environment.

Just a good match for a short stint in Vila Nova de Gaia with very good value for money. The breakfast was really good, especially for vegans. If you want to swim, it's best to visit the pool during quieter hours.
